SFC Soldier Stabbed in Kabale Bar, 54 Arrested

Police in Kabale on Wednesday night rounded up and arrested 54 suspects at California P and J transit hotel along the highway at Kigongi cell Kabale Municipality for being public nuisance after a person was badly stabbed.

According to the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson, an SFC soldier identified as Stephen Kangiriho while in the same place on his social night developed a misunderstanding with another person for reasons not yet known. He was seriously stabbed in the stomach by the suspect now on run.

Police then visited the scene and the injured was rushed to Mbarara regional referral hospital. An operation was immediately done as inquiries continue.

“We have arrested the 54 to help us in investigating the incident. I wish to condemn acts of people being in social places with dangerous weapons,” said Maate.

An investigation file under the reference of Kabale CRB 1001/2018 has been opened in this regard.
