Museveni revealed that President Vučić congratulated Uganda directly from the stadium in Budapest, Hungary, where he witnessed Cheptegei’s win.

In the same spirit, Museveni also congratulated Serbia’s Ivana Vuleta upon winning the long jump gold title at the on going World Athletics Championships.

On Sunday, Cheptegei dominated the race by winning gold in the men’s 10,000m finals.

He clocked a time of 27.51.42 seconds to become the fourth man in history to win three consecutive 25-lap world titles.
