Top Ugandan comedians Patrick “Salvador” Idringi and Dr Hillary Okello will share one stage for a special night of laughter and entertainment at the ‘2 Kings One Mic’ comedy show slated for Friday, October 24, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
The two are among Uganda’s leading English-speaking comedians and are renowned for their clean comedy. Over the years, they have each built a huge following across Uganda and beyond, entertaining audiences across generations with witty humour.
Speaking ahead of the show, Annette Nakiyaga, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at I&M Bank, said the bank’s partnership with the two comedians reflects its commitment to supporting local talent and connecting with customers beyond the banking hall.
“Salvador and Dr Hillary need no introduction. They are among the best in the country and beyond, so this is an opportunity for I&M Bank to support the arts, celebrate Uganda’s entertainment industry and be part of something our customers will genuinely enjoy,” Nakiyaga said.
Salvador said the show will showcase the power of collaboration in the arts.
“We have been preparing for this show for months, and we are excited about what we have put together. You have probably seen some of our skits on social media, but those are just a small taste of what we have in store. This show is intended to showcase what talents are able to serve their audiences when they come together, not to battle, but deliberately to give their best,” he said.
Dr Hillary Okello described it as a unique comedy experience focused on delivering laughs and giving fans a memorable evening.
The entirely English show will be hosted by Dr Mitch Egwang and will feature a limited number of guest performers. Janzi Band will lead the live music experience, while DJ Tony Wallace will keep revellers entertained throughout the evening.
Tickets are still on sale at Shs100,000 for general seating, and Shs80,000 via MTN MoMo. Table packages are going for Shs3m and Shs5m.
