Pride Bank Limited has been named First Runner-Up in two key categories at the 2025 Bank of Uganda Awards: the Agricultural Credit Facility (ACF) Award and the Small Business Recovery Fund (SBRF) Award.
These accolades were conferred under the general category of Best Performing Financial Institution in the Credit Institutions and Microfinance Deposit-Taking Institutions segment, as of March 31, 2025.
The prestigious awards ceremony, hosted annually by the Bank of Uganda, evaluates financial institutions on innovation, customer impact, and measurable contributions to national development. In a highly competitive field, Pride Bank’s dual recognition highlights its dedication to supporting Uganda’s agricultural transformation and small business resilience.
Consolate Namyalo Kateregga, Head of the Credit Unit at Pride Bank Limited, represented the institution at the ceremony and expressed pride in the bank’s achievements. “Being named First Runner-Up in both the ACF and SBRF categories reaffirms our commitment to delivering inclusive, impact-driven credit solutions that strengthen Uganda’s economic foundation,” she said. “Pride Bank remains a proud financial partner in Uganda’s national development.”
The Agricultural Credit Facility Award recognises financial institutions that have successfully expanded access to agricultural financing. Pride Bank was acknowledged for its innovative lending practices, which have enabled farmers to adopt modern techniques, boost yields, and improve rural livelihoods.
The Small Business Recovery Fund Award honours institutions that have provided critical financial support to small businesses navigating post-pandemic recovery and market challenges. Through tailored loan packages and advisory support, Pride Bank has played a vital role in helping SMEs stabilise and grow.
Additionally, the bank was praised for timely and full loan repayments under the SBRF, high performance in loan submissions and disbursements, extensive outreach to underserved regions, and strategic partnerships that support agricultural development and SME recovery.
Pride Bank’s sustained success in these categories underscores its leadership among Uganda’s credit institutions and its strategic focus on inclusive growth. The bank continues to invest in cutting-edge digital tools and flexible credit products that cater to the needs of rural farmers, small business owners, and urban entrepreneurs alike.
These awards cement Pride Bank Limited’s position as a key player in Uganda’s financial ecosystem and a catalyst for broad-based economic prosperity.
