The Democratic Republic of Congo President Felix Tshisekedi has dismissed four senior Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) officers.
This is according to an order dated May 26, 2022.
The order was read Thursday, June 2 on Radio Télévision Nationale Congolaise (RTNC).
The dismissed officers are; Lt Col Kibibi Mutware, Major Sido Bizimungu alias America, Major Aruna Bovic and Major Mundande Kitambala.
The soldiers are reportedly accused of having links to the notorious rebel group, M23 which has been engaging government troops in several battles.
According to local media, President Tshisekedi took this decision on the proposal of Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde Kyenge and the Superior Council of Defense.
