UPDF Land Forces Commander Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has said Rwanda President Paul Kagame will attend his 48th birthday celebrations.
Gen Muhoozi, who reactivated his Twitter account Saturday evening, confirmed receiving the cows President Kagame gifted him on his last visit to Kigali.
“I received my cows from H.E @PaulKagame day before yesterday. I am now officially ‘Inkotanye’, he tweeted.
He added: “’Inkotanyi cyane’. East Africans should not fear, the revolutionaries are in charge.”

The Presidential Advisor on Special Operations then confirmed Kagame’s attendance of his birthday.

He said the Chairman of #MKAt48 Committee and Attorney General, Kiryowa Kiwanuka, is already planning a warm-up celebration at Lugogo.
“The Chairman of #MKAt48 Committee, Honourable Kiryowa Kiwanuka, has just briefed me that there will be a kasiki on 23rd April in Lugogo organised by ‘Friends of MK’ under Mr.Nuwagira Michael (Toyota).”

On April 24, there will be a dinner at State House hosted by H.E. Kaguta Museveni.
According to Gen Muhoozi, the main birthday party will be after 24th April at a date and time to be announced by Chairman Kiryowa.
Meanwhile, Gen Muhoozi lauded the entrance of DR Congo into the East African Community which he called “a great achievement”.
“After uniting DRC with East Africa, a very great achievement, we need to link this new African superpower with Southern Africa. Robben Island, where my grandfather Nelson Mandela was imprisoned has to be part of us,” he said.
