Effective May 1st, 2023, the Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety will begin enforcing the use of driver badges for all bus drivers.
“We strongly urge all bus operators to promptly obtain their driver badges from the Ministry of Works and Transport,” said ASP Faridah Nampiima, PRO Traffic Directorate.
She said from May 1st, 2023 onwards, no bus driver will be permitted to operate on the road without a valid driver badge.
“We kindly request that bus operators refrain from allowing drivers without badges to operate their buses, in order to prevent any inconvenience. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safety and compliance of our roads,” she added.
