The Uganda Police Force has updated phone numbers of Regional, District, and Sub-county Commanders across the country. The move aims to strengthen community policing and enhance emergency response during the electoral and festive season.
According to Senior Police Officer Dr Aisha Kayongo, the phone numbers, available 24/7, are operated by trained officers ready to respond promptly to security-related calls at the local level.
“They complement the existing Toll-Free Police Patrol Lines,” she said. “We want the community and the public to know that if anyone has an emergency or requires assistance from the police, they should be able to contact us.”
SP Kayongo urged citizens to utilize the numbers and platforms to report incidents or concerns, ensuring a safe and secure electoral process.

– 999 Patrol Platform: +256800300102, +256800122291

The full list of numbers is available on the UPF website, social media platforms, or through a mobile application downloadable on Playstore.
“These numbers will be shared on social media, including Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok, as well as through community liaison officers,” SP Kayongo said.
SP Kayongo explained the reporting procedure: “The moment you call that number, the person who receives the call will engage with you. You give the location of the incident, and then we dispatch the required rescue or response.”
With 33 Regional Police Departments across the country, police say they are ready to handle any incidents. “We are even more prepared because this is the period when we expect tensions, but we still call on the public to remain calm,” she added.
