Two armed robbers have been killed by Police officers and one loaded SMG riffle recovered in an incident that occurred in Bweyogerere.
The robbers had Thursday attacked a business lady identified as Josephine Agaba Rwabyooma at her work place and slit her throat with a knife fleeing with her money worth Shs 180,000 and a USD 100 note.
The two then later hijacked a motor vehicle from a nearby garage and tried to flee the scene .
Police had been informed and trailed the robbers who sped towards Jokas but due to traffic jam abandoned the vehicle and hijacked a motorcycle from the owner at gunpoint.
Police officers pursued them and put them out of action at the Namanve Industrial Park during cross fire exchange.
Officers recovered a bag with sharp knives, gloves and head masks.
The two bodies have Been taken to mulago mortuary.
