Bolloré Transport & Logistics Uganda has appointed business man and Philanthropist, Patrick Bitature as its Board Chairman.
Balloré Transport and Logistics, is a supply chain, warehousing & inventory management, customs brokerage, collateral management as well as multi-modal transport and distribution company.
While welcoming the appointment, Bitature said the appointment has come at a time when Uganda needs a reliable partner as the quantity of our imports and exports continues to grow.
“I am humbled to be appointed as the chairman of the board of what is probably the biggest logistics company in Africa,” he said.
Bitature who doubles as the Simba group of companies CEO, said that he is ready to work with the company for better results.
“I am honoured that Ballore Transport and Logistics Uganda has found me to be such a reliable person, It is with my country’s need in mind that I graciously accept this appointment,” Bitature added.
He explained that, currently, the country is seeing an increase in the goods produced and exported, “A good example of this is coffee; we currently export 7 million bags of coffee annually but the number is fast increasing.”
The business Mogul added that Uganda’s imports and exports will also step up soon to include the long awaited Oil and Gas Infrastructure which will in turn create Jobs East Africa.
Born on May 10th, 1960 in Fort Portal, Western Uganda, Bitature is the CEO and chairman of Simba group of companies, an East African conglomerate dealing in telecommunications, tour and travel, etc.
Ballore Logistics and Transport company is among the largest Logistics and Transportation companies in Africa.
It started operating in Uganda in 1968, with a prime aim of supporting its customers in increasingly global competitive markets.
