The 17-year-old boy who is in Senior Three had the canister explode in his hand during the recent age limit consultations by MP Sewanyana which ended prematurely.

Kamakya was rushed to Mulago referal hospital were doctors recommended that his hand would be amputated to save his life.

The legislator paid courtesy visit to the victim and donated Shs 1 million to help fund Kamakya’s recovery process.

Unlike other opposition legislators that returned the Shs 29 million [each] meant for consultation to the consolidated fund, Ssewanyana has said he will put the money to charity work and other projects that would directly benefit his voters.
