Aruu country Member of Parliament, Odonga Otto, was Friday morning involved in a motor accident along Kampala Gulu highway as he drove back to Kampala.
According to Police Spokesperson, SSP Emilian Kayima, the accident occurred between 5:30am and 6am at Katuugo in Nakasongola district, when the car in which the legislator was traveling rammed into a trailer parked by the roadside.
“He is currently in Bishop Asili Lacor Hospital in Luweero district undergoing medical examination but arrangements are underway to ferry him to Kampala for better medical examination,” Kayima told SoftPower News.
He said that the trailer had earlier overturned and fell by the roadside but with part of it slightly in the road. According to Kayima, the MP who was also traveling alone in the car, is likely to have rammed into the trailer unknowingly.
He added that his car is still parked at the scene and that the legislator is currently out of danger and can easily talk to people around him.
