KAMPALA — Nation Media Group (NMG) Uganda has announced the resumption of its operations following a temporary disruption that affected its television, print, radio and digital platforms.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, NMG Uganda said services would be restored progressively as the company completes the necessary operational arrangements.
“Nation Media Group Uganda is pleased to announce the resumption of its operations. Our services across television, print, radio and digital will be restored progressively as we complete the necessary operational arrangements,” the statement reads.
The media house thanked its audiences, advertisers, clients and business partners for their patience and support during the interruption.
“We appreciate the patience and understanding shown by our audiences, clients and partners during this period and appreciate your continued trust and confidence in our brands,” the company said.
NMG also reaffirmed its commitment to delivering credible journalism as it resumes normal operations across its platforms.
“As we return to serving you, our focus remains the delivery of trusted and balanced journalism across all our platforms,” the statement added.
The statement was signed by Joe Muganda, Chairman of Nation Media Group PLC.
Nation Media Group Uganda operates some of the country’s leading media brands, including NTV Uganda, Spark TV, The Daily Monitor, Dembe FM, KFM, The EastAfrican, and Ennyanda.
The company did not disclose the specific cause of the disruption or provide details on the operational arrangements being finalised. However, the announcement signals the return of one of Uganda’s largest multimedia organisations, whose platforms reach millions of readers, viewers and listeners across the country.
The resumption of operations is expected to restore news broadcasts, newspaper production, radio programming and digital publishing, bringing the group’s full range of news and entertainment services back to audiences.
