President Museveni will this Tuesday, November 15, 2022 address the nation on the current status of Ebola outbreak in the country.
This was announced by the Presidential Press Unit (PPU) on Monday morning.
According to Faruk Kirunda, the Deputy Press Secretary to H.E the President, the address will be delivered at 8.00pm.
“The address will be live on all Radios and TV stations,” Kirunda noted.
On Sunday, the Minister of Health, Dr Jane Ruth Aceng, confirmed the first Ebola death in Jinja district.
According to Aceng, a fatal Ebola case was reported in Kayalwe B village, Buyengo sub-county of a 45-year-old male who is linked to a probable case, his brother.
“The brother, who is linked to the Rubaga cluster travelled to Jinja where he was ill for 10 days and passed on the 3rd of November 2022. The confirmed fatal case also died at his home on 10th of November and was buried on 12th of November,” she said in a tweet.
