The address will be live on all Radio and TV stations.

This will be his second address on issues of Ebola in less than a month.

The address comes at a backdrop of an Ebola death in Kampala which occurred at Kiruddu National Referral Hospital.

The confirmed case is of a man that travelled from the Mubende district, the current epicentre of Ebola, and changed identification on presentation to the health facility.

Five health workers that were discharged

The Ministry of Health has isolated 42 people who got into contact with the Ebola patient who died at Kiruddu Hospital.

Speaking at Entebbe Hospital on Tuesday, Health minister, Dr Ruth Aceng, also confirmed the discharge of five health workers that had contracted Ebola during their line of duty.

Ebola was first declared in Uganda on September 20, 2022.  So far, confirmed cases have increased to 54 while cumulative confirmed deaths have risen to 19.

Twenty people have recovered from the deadly disease while those on admission are 14.

At least 42 contacts of the victim in Kiruddu, Mubende District have been listed including 10 health workers.
Last week, the governments of the United States of America and the United Kingdom announced travel restrictions to Uganda over the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Uganda.
