President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has bid farewell to the outgoing Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Uganda, Vladlen Semivolos, during a meeting at State House, Entebbe.
During the meeting, the two leaders reflected on the longstanding historical ties between Uganda and Russia, with President Museveni commending the ambassador for his role in strengthening bilateral relations.

“I congratulate you on finishing your tour of duty, and I commend your efforts in ensuring the continued warmth and cooperation between our countries and people. I wish you good luck in your future endeavours,” President Museveni said.
Ambassador Semivolos expressed appreciation for the hospitality he received during his time in Uganda and highlighted the strong partnerships built between the two countries.

“I take pride and special privilege to have served in this country and I honour your support in various fields that have benefitted both Uganda and Russia,” he noted.
The meeting marked the end of Ambassador Semivolos’ diplomatic mission in Uganda, as he prepares to take on his next assignment.
