As Muslims mark and celebrate Eid Aduha, Movit group of Companies has given out gifts to help those in need celebrate with their families.
The gifts were given out to Muslims at Kibuli and Old Kampala mosques which were received by the Deputy Supreme Mufti, Sheikh Mahmood Kibaate at Kibuli mosque.
The mufti used the time to appeal to all Muslims to forgive those that have done them wrong as well as seeking for forgiveness from those they have wronged.
“This is the time that we should all reflect on doing good and forgiving one another; to those who have the capacity to give to the needy, now is the time,” Kibaate said.
The sheikh said that as people slaughter and sacrifice animals, it is required of them to remember those in need and share with them food and drinks.
“We appreciate our brothers and sisters from Movit who have given us these gifts for Eid Aduha and we pray that Allah rewards them abundantly, I also call upon all other companies to give us a hand in helping our brothers who are in need,” Kibaate said.
A number of gifts were handed over by Claire Namwanje the Events and Promotion Manager including; rice, sugar, cooking oil, soap, Vaseline, salt and a cow that would be slaughtered as sacrifice to mark the celebrations.
Kibaate observed that giving is an act of love and friendship which should be encouraged in our daily life.
