Motiv, Bugolobi came alive over the weekend as young women from across Northern Uganda competed for the Miss Uganda North 2026 title.
The event marked the second regional showdown in the nationwide search for Miss Uganda 2026. In partnership with the Miss Uganda Foundation, V&A Sherry transformed the evening into a celebration of Northern Uganda’s young women, their ambition, talent, and the individuality that defines each of their journeys.
When the contestants took to the stage, confidence, personality and raw talent were on full display for the judges and audience who had gathered to witness the next chapter unfold.
Every walk, every word, and every flash of personality offered the crowd a glimpse of the women behind the gowns, young women telling their stories with pride.
For Roy Ronald Tumwizere, Brand Manager for V&A Sherry at Uganda Breweries Limited, the night captured the essence of the brand.
“Every region brings its own stories, talent and character to the Miss Uganda journey, and Northern Uganda has shown us just how much there is to celebrate,” he said.
“At V&A Sherry, we believe the moments that matter most are the ones we share with others. Through our ‘Yours to Share’ platform, we are proud to celebrate these young women as they step forward, represent their communities and pursue their dreams on the national stage.”
The Northern Uganda leg followed the competition’s opening chapter in Eastern Uganda, held in Jinja, where Nabirye Faith Magero, Ajambo Olivia and Balwaani Patricia secured their spots on the national stage.
Between rounds, musical performances by artists from Northern Uganda filled Motiv Bugolobi, turning breaks into moments of pure celebration. For a few songs at a time, contestants and guests set aside competition nerves and enjoyed being together.
When the final results were announced, cheers erupted, showing how much the night meant to supporters.
Alum Eunice Amelia was crowned Miss Uganda North 2026, Akot Charity emerged first runner-up, while Atim Victoria took second runner-up. For those who did not win, the night offered a chance to stand before an audience, share their story, and take a bold step toward their ambitions.
The Journey to the Crown 2026 will move to West Nile, Western, and Central Uganda, with each region adding its chapter before the grand finale set for October 10 at Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
