Ntinda Police Post OC, Moses Wegulo, is quoted by the media saying a trailer failed to climb a hill and reverse-crashed them.

The boda boda rider died on the spot while the Minister’s daughter, Belinda Birungi, was rushed to Naguru Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

“So sad of Hon. Dr. Sam Mayanja to lose his beloved daughter,” tweeted President Museveni’s deputy press secretary, Faruk Kirunda, on Saturday.

He added: “My deepest condolences to the family. May her soul rest in eternal peace!”
