RUBANDA – Police in Rubanda district are investigating circumstances under which an unidentified man most likely in his thirties was murdered and dumped in Lake Bunyonyi.
According to Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson, Elly Matte, the victim’s body was sighted floating on the water by local residents of Haisesero on Monday morning. They notified the Police which visited the scene and retrieved the body.
Matte described the deceased as having had a black skin complexion dressed in a Uganda Cranes jersey of black type, white truck trousers and a bluish jacket.
He is suspected to have been murdered because his head was totally smashed and could have spent about three to four days in the water.
Police took the body to Kabale Referral Hospital mortuary for postmorterm and is calling on any one missing his relative or otherwise to search from there.
