Kitara FC made quick amends from their loss against Kataka last week to return to winning ways.

The Hoima-based side secured a 3-0 win over Calvary FC at Kigaaya Primary School Playground to open a three-point gap at the top.

Patrick Kaddu bagged a brace to take his tally to seven while Charles Kyomuhendo added the other in the clean-out victory.

Kitara is top of the table with 16 points, three ahead of the chasing pack that includes Mbarara City, Booma FC and NEC FC.

Mbarara City had to come from a goal down to salvage a point against Police FC at Kakyeka Stadium.

Miisi Diego Ssemugera had given the Cops the lead in the first half but the Ankole Lions levelled matters four minutes after the break with Henry Kitegenyi converting from the spot.

NEC suffered a 1-0 ss on the road against bottom-placed Soroti City but remains third on the log with 13 points.

Elsewhere, Booma FC recovered from a goal down to win 2-1 at Northern Gateway thanks to goals from captain Denis Omedi and Davis Muheirwe.

Moses Kasagga was the hero for Kaaro Karungi in their 1-0 win over Jinja North United.

Ndejje University registered their second win of the season thanks to a late strike from Nicholas Luzige.

Luweero United played out a goalless draw with Kataka while Adjumani were 2-1 winners over Lugazi FC.
