Ministers, staff of the Ministry of Finance, family members, well-wishers and members of the public on Tuesday eulogised the late Keith Muhakanizi and paid him glowing tributes.
The prayers to celebrate the life of Keith were presided over by Rev. Can.Dr. Rebecca Nyegenye, the Provost All Saints Cathedral Kampala.
Keith was described as a distinguished intellectual, reformer, an honest, friendly and great mentor with high emotional intelligence.

The Finance Minister, Hon Matia Kasaija, urged staff in his ministry to emulate Keith’s humility.
“He never kept a grudge against anybody,” said Kasaija.

The Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury, Ramathan Ggoobi, said the late Muhakanizi is arguably one of the grandparents of Uganda’s modern economy.
Keith was recognised (awarded) posthumously by Kasaija as a lead reformer in the Public Finance Management of the Republic of Uganda.

Keith’s remains are expected to be returned home from Italy on Thursday or Friday this week.
He will be accorded an official burial.
