Kanye West, the American rapper who is vacationing in Uganda will Tuesday morning visit the Masulita children’s home, SoftPower News has learnt.
Kanye West will also make a donation at the home which is located in Wakiso district. The facility was started by charity organization, Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO) and is the oldest orphanage home.
The rapper is expected to arrive at the home at 11am, a source said.
The home houses about 100 children currently and has since changed from catering for just orphans to vulnerable children including street children. UWESO was founded by First Lady, Janet Museveni and she doubles as its patron.
Kanye West and wife, Kim Kardashian who is a reality TV star together with their little daughter, North West arrived in Uganda last week. The couple is staying at the luxurious Chobe Safari Lodge in Murchison falls national park.
On Monday, the two were hosted by President Yoweri Museveni at State House Entebbe where they discussed promotion of tourism using arts.
The rapper will while on his trip to Africa record some songs and shoot videos off his forthcoming ninth album ‘Yandhi’.
