Rwanda President, Paul Kagame, has appointed his daughter, Ange Kagame, as the Deputy Executive Director, Strategy and Policy Council at the Office of the President.
Setti Solomon, who previously worked as the commercial attaché at the Rwandan embassy in Washington DC, was appointed as Chief Strategy and Communications Officer at Rwanda Development Board (RDB).
This was done in a cabinet meeting chaired by President Kagame.
In these same appointments announced by the Office of the Prime Minister, former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dan Munyuza, was appointed Rwanda’s ambassador to Egypt.
The former envoy to Tanzania, Maj Gen Charles Karamba, was named Rwanda’s ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union replacing Hope Tumukunde Gasatura.
Michel Sebera was appointed Rwanda’s first ambassador resident in Guinea. Shakila Kazimbaya Umutoni is the new envoy to Morocco, replacing Zaina Nyiramatama.
The immediate former secretary-general of the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi), François Ngarambe, was named Chairman of the Chancellery for Heroes, National Orders and Decorations of Honor (CHENO).
Ngarambe served as RPF secretary-general for 21 years before he was replaced by Wellars Gasamagera in April, reported New Times Rwanda.
