I&M Bank Uganda has successfully conducted a series of blood donation activations across the country, aimed at boosting the national blood bank and saving lives.
In partnership with the Uganda Blood Transfusion Services (UBTS), the bank hosted blood donation drives at its Head Office in Kingdom Kampala, as well as its Kawempe, Entebbe, Jinja, and Arua branches.
A total of 135 units of blood were collected from the five branches, with both bank staff and community members actively participating in the exercise. The initiative demonstrates the bank’s commitment to supporting the healthcare system and giving back to the community.
According to Annette Nakiyaga, I&M Bank’s Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, “The blood donation drive is a meaningful way for us to give back to the community and boost the healthcare system. We believe that supporting blood donation drives can help make a difference in people’s lives, especially in critical situations where blood is vital.”
Recently, the bank partnered with the Kabaka Foundation for the Tubeere Balamu Community Health Camp, where thousands of people received free health education, medical check-ups, treatment, and had the opportunity to donate blood.
