The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Gen Kale Kayihura has effected changes with the Police Force, transferring a number of officers to new postings.
The transfers are contained in a dispatch dated January 22, circulated to the Deputy IGP, District Police Commanders (DPCs) of Maracha, Kiboga, Butebi, Arua, Adjumani, Kyankwanzi, as well as Regional Police Commanders (RPCs) in North, Kyoga, Wamala, North West Nile, Bukedi and Mt Moroto.
Majority (six) of those affected by the transfers are at the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) while three (3) are at the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
Among those reshuffled include SP Mafundo Emmanuel who has been moved from Maracha to Gulu as the new DPC and SP Oyese Faustine who has been posted as Maracha DPC from Gomba.
SP Kakaire Adam Mulondo who was in Adjumani has now gone to Kyankwanzi as DPC while SP Kanyesigye Jamal who has been undergoing a training course has been moved to Kiboga as DPC.
The others are; SP Odonga Tonny Anyaku who has been on training and is now the DPC for Katakwi district.
SP Syamutsangira Simon has been transferred to Adjumani as DPC while ASP Kazara Robert who was previously in Otuke has now been posted to Gomba as DPC.
ASP Turyaryomwe Edson, formerly in Moroto now goes to Otuke as DPC and ASP Buyinza Twaha from Kyankwanzi has been transferred to become DPC of Butebi.
According to the dispatch by the IGP, the changes take immediate effect.
