“The Uganda Police Force in a joint operation with sister security agencies early this morning conducted an operation at Usafi mosque in Kisenyi and other locations in and around Kampala. A sizeable number of suspects involved in acts of terrorism and radicalization were arrested. Women and children who had been held hostage were successfully rescued. In the operation, two of the armed suspects were shot dead as they attacked the officers in the operation. Details of this operation will follow,” a statement from the police mouthpiece, Emilian Kayima said.

SoftPower News also has it on authority that some of the alleged killers of former accountant Susan Magara who was abducted and murdered in February, have been arrested.

“It is true we have arrested some of Susan’s killers. The Minister of Internal Affairs will address the media shortly,” a high ranking security officer told this website.

This website also understands that Susan was killed from Konge in Bunga and her body was allegedly driven by a one Umar Lubega.

The gang involved in her brutal killing was arrested from usafi Market but the Munyoro man who was communicating with Susan’s parents for ransom, escaped.

According to our sources, his wife was picked up by security and she is in detention.

“One of the soldiers hand was cut off by the killers in the course of the operation,” a source revealed.

The wounded officer, a CMI operative is currently admitted in Mulago hospital.
