“We are going to intensify military operations in Karamoja. The cattle rustlers will be eliminated!” he stated.

Muhoozi revealed that he has been in Karamoja for the past two weeks.

“This is probably the most peaceful part of the country. The few remaining cattle rustlers will be dealt with without mercy!”

“We shall teach the cattle rustlers Christianity, if it needs be through the barrel of the gun!”

He later shared a picture of over 200 cows the army has recovered from Bokora that had raided the Jie of Kotido.

Re-arming Arrow Boys?

Muhoozi also spoke on the call by his “brothers in Teso” who are asking for re-armament of the Arrow Boys.

“First of all, I think I am the third highest commander of Arrow Boys after @Mukulaa and Hon. Ecweru,” he revealed.

He went on: “We created Arrow Boys to deal with Kony, Otti and Tabuley. We succeeded in our mission.”

The militia sprung up as a self-defense unit who get their name from the bows, arrows supposedly treated with poison, and other traditional weapons they use.

During the insurgency by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), the Arrow Boys were started in Teso in the Eastern Region as a self-defense militia.

As the Lord’s Resistance Army fled Uganda into South Sudan, the militia spread there as well in order to defend against the LRA.
