Gen Kainerugaba Delivers Museveni’s ‘Important’ Message To South Africa’s Ramaphosa

The Chief of Defence Forces of the UPDF, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has met with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, delivering an important message from Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.

This high-level meeting in South Africa comes amidst tensions in the region, particularly the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Gen Kainerugaba’s meeting with President Ramaphosa focused on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing shared security concerns in the region.

The content of the message from President Museveni to his South African counterpart remains undisclosed.

“…Given the current regional landscape, it likely pertains to cooperation on security matters, trade, or diplomatic initiatives aimed at improving mutual understanding on regional issues,” a statement from the UPDF noted.
