The Uganda Cranes conducted their final training session on Saturday evening at the St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

The team will today (Sunday) face neighbors Rwanda for the return leg of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Qualifier match.

Uganda won the first leg encounter 1-0 thanks to Aziz Fahad Bayo’s goal at the Stade De Kigali, Nyamirambo on Thursday.

Prior to the game, team captain, Denis Iguma, has cautioned fellow players against complacency because of the win they registered in Rwanda.

“I want to thank all the players for the efforts they put in the Rwanda game and we managed to register that win. I know it is not yet over thus we have been preparing for the next game like never before,” Iguma said.

Iguma noted that they (Cranes) respect Rwanda but we will not do that on the pitch.

“We are looking forward to do what we did in Kigali. Everyone is more than ready to give the best for our Nation,” Iguma said.

Iguma is standing in for second Captain Khalid Aucho who accumulated two yellow cards thus suspended for this game.

Uganda Cranes is second in group E with 5 points as they remain unbeaten in three matches.

Mali is group E leader with 7 points. Mali visits Kenya at Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday.
