Enraged Bull Knocks Man Dead in Kanungu

A man in Kanungu district has died after an enraged bull knocked him down while he was going about his farm work.

Paison Rubarema, 66 a resident of Katungu cell, Kambuga town council in Kanungu district was killed on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at around 5:30pm in the evening.

Police say that Rubarema was in the kraal on the farm belonging to a one Canon Rutagira when the bull suddenly went wild and ran over him killing him instantly.

Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, Elly Matte said Police was notified and later visited the scene where the body was retrieved. The body has since been taken to Kambuga hospital mortuary for postmortem.

Matte described the incident as “unfortunate” and asked the public to always be cautious with their life especially in the midst of dangerous animals.

“I want to ask our people to always be careful with their life especially when they know they have such wild and dangerous animals,” Matte said.
