The Ugandan runner showcased her dominance on Sunday and secured a strong position for the finals due for Tuesday.
Chemutai won the gold medal in the women’s 3000 metres steeplechase at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, becoming the first Ugandan woman ever to win an Olympic medal.
She is poised to bring it home once again at the Paris Olympics happening in France.
