The three suspects include; Sheikh Yasin Ssenyonga, Abubakari Katakuwange and Juma Kabogere Mwinomuze.

“As the Joint Security Agencies, we have intensified operations against any persons linked to acts of terrorism. We continue to monitor all spaces in homes, places of worship and businesses, which are acting as domains for the recruitment and coordination of terror activities. We also want to reiterate that the arrested persons are not arrested for their beliefs, ideology or religion, but for their alleged involvement in violent hostilities of terrorism,” said Enanga.

He added: “We also want to remind Ugandans to reject all forms of terrorism, by being extra vigilant and reporting any suspicious activities in their neighbourhoods. As the Joint Security Agencies, the counter-terror operations against terrorists, their agents, operatives and collaborators remain active and ongoing.”
