Jolly Ngabirano was a budding businesswoman having begun the Café Pap franchise in 2004 which had grown from serving a clientele of 60 people daily to over 300. The shops transformed the brewing of local coffee into varieties of cappuccino, Americano and espresso but also offering other foods.

She later ventured into the tourism business, establishing Ihamba Lakeside Safari lodge on the shores of Lake George in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Jolly was wife to former Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) Managing Director, Henry Ngabirano.

Many have described her as a mentor, dedicated and hardworking.
