The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) as an invitation to potential service providers across Africa for inclusion in CAF’s database of prospective suppliers in anticipation of the forthcoming AFCON 2027 tenders.

According to Dr Dennis K. Mugimba, Chairperson of the Communications and Promotion Sub-Committee, CAF will soon release a series of tenders for various goods and services in support of the implementation of AFCON-2027.

Through the local Organising Committee, CAF is inviting reputable potential suppliers of various goods or services to express interest by first registering with CAF by completing and submitting a Request for Information (RFI) so they are included in the database of prospective suppliers.

“It is important to note that only potential suppliers who have registered with CAF through CAF’s official website link https://cafonline.com/inside-caf/about- us/official-documents/tenders will be notified by email about tenders once they have been released. Potential suppliers who do not submit their RFI profiles before publication of the respective tenders will not be eligible for consideration as suppliers,” Mugimba said.

The information being asked for primarily focuses on supplier identity and the kinds of services or goods one can supply.

A legal status, a physical as well as a Postal Address, Corporate Website. He adds that the potential supplier may execute services in PAMOJA, other African countries, Europe, America, or Asia.

He clarified that the RFI is being issued for purposes of market-mapping only and does not constitute an invitation to tender, request for proposal, request for quotation, or any commitment by CAF or the LOC to procure goods, services, or enter into any agreement, incur any financial or contractual obligation.

“CAF is not charging any fees in this Request for Information.

Relatedly, for the avoidance of doubt, this Request for Information is strictly about services and goods being procured by CAF and NOT the Local Organising Committee (LOC),” adding, “At an appropriate time, the LOC shall issue its own call for information for services and goods to be executed exclusively in Uganda in accordance with CAF’s Procurement Policy.”
