The Inspector General of Police, Okoth Ochola has made changes within the Police Force, transferring a total of 23 officers some of them at Senior level. Ochola has reversed some of the transfers made by former IGP, Gen Kale Kayihura a day before he was sacked.
In the appointments effected on Monday, AIGP Abbas Byakagaba who has been Director of Oil and Gas has been moved to head Counter Terrorism.
Of the officers affected by the latest reshuffle, two are at the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP), six are at Senior Commissioner of Police (SCP), four Commissioners of Police (CP) and five Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP).
SCP Tanui Stephen from IGP’s Office to Field Force Unit (FFU) as Deputy Commander and SCP Kasalawo Christopher has been moved from FFU to Counter Terrorism as Deputy Director Oil and Gas.
SCP Kaali Ali Fadhir has been moved from the IGP’s Office to become Commander of the Field Force Unit while SCP Edyegu Richard who has been in the IGP’s Office now makes Deputy Director of Logistics and Engineering.
In other changes, SCP Tusiime Anne has been transferred to the Division of Construction as the Deputy Director. SCP Tukahirwa Henry is the new Deputy Director for Welfare and Production.
