Social picnicking and entertainment event, Blankets and Wine continues to maintain its place as a favorite for Kampalans who love to step out and have a light day.

The latest edition of Blankets and Wine recorded a significant turn up of revelers and was characterized by a remarkable performance from South African duo Distruction Boyz, and our very own Ykee Benda and Afrigo Band’s Joanita Kawalya throwing it live at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.

By 1pm, the venue was slowing turning into a beehive of activity as revelers walked down the streets to go and relax.

On sight, was the city top fashion slayers who were out in large numbers in their stylish outfits turning as captured on our camera.

The day was kicked off with a show from Racheal K, Lady Snake, Tina Ford, Tracey Noella who kept the earlier birds busy as the venue slowly got filled up.
Indeed, after all the above it was time for Destruction Boys with their hits like omunye, ‘The Conductor’ and ‘Madness’ hits that rocked cricket Oval as fan sang along to the top of their voice and by midnight, when the show closed, it seemed to have come to an end too soon.

Grace Namutebi, UBL Brand Manager, Premium Beers in an interview revealed that “Blankets and Wine is a platform for fun-loving Ugandans that also showcases and supports talented artistes. Our commitment as Tusker Malt is to continue renewing our consumers’ party spirit with more exciting experiences accompanying each instalment of the show.
