The highly anticipated Bell ObaFest 2024 lived up to its promise, delivering a 3-day extravaganza of culture, music, and innovation that left attendees in awe.

The festival, held from Friday to Sunday, showcased the best of African talent, cuisine, and brews, cementing its position as one of Uganda’s premier events.

The festival kicked off with a youthful vibe, setting the perfect tone for the weekend. By the end of day one, it was clear that this was just the beginning of an unforgettable experience.

Saturday raised the bar with DJs, MC Deedan’s infectious energy, and sign interpreters from Light of the World ensuring inclusivity for all. The musical lineup stole the show, featuring John Blaq, Elijah Kitaka, Winnie Nwagi, Azawi, and Bebe Cool, who delivered electrifying performances. The night ended with nostalgic DJ sets from Selector Jay and Lynda Ddane, keeping the crowd enthralled.

Sunday’s climax featured Vinka, Blue 3 (Cindy Sanyu, Lillian Mbabazi, and Jackie Chandiru), DJ Suuna Ben, and Maddox, who delivered unforgettable performances. The crowd sang along, danced, and savored every moment.

The festival was more than just a music festival. It celebrated African culture, innovation, and responsible drinking.

Speaking during the festival, Lillian Kansiime, the Bell Lager Brand Manager, noted that Bell Lager is aiming towards redefining enjoyment through the Bell ObaFest.

“We are combining various cultural identifiers that unite us as Ugandans from the savory foodstuffs to forms of expression like fashion and art, we are bringing our crews together to raise a toast to beer.”

The team also prioritized waste management, providing a dedicated team to collect used bottles and ensure an environmentally conscious event. Free water was available throughout, highlighting UBL’s commitment to responsible drinking.

Bell ObaFest 2024 set a new benchmark for festivals in Uganda, showcasing vibrant performances, innovative beer experiences, and thoughtful efforts toward responsible drinking and accessibility.

Attendees left with unforgettable memories, eagerly anticipating next year’s edition.
