Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) 51st Infantry Battalion in collaboration with local leaders have recovered two guns in Bukwo district.
Defence Spokesperson, Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye, said that the guns were stolen from Riwo Hill detachment, in Bukwo district on October 30, 2022.
The Deputy RDC Bukwo, Mr James Chemutai, accompanied by the clan leader, Mr Kibet Patrick, presented the guns to the UPDF side led by Col Badru Lumumba.
“We commend the positive involvement of local leaders in the recovery of arms,” said Kulayigye.
