The legislator sustained serious injuries and is currently admitted at Kiryandongo hospital. Reports say he is due to be transported to Kampala for further medical attention.

Only yesterday, it emerged that Cabinet had approved proposals aimed at ensuring road safety, including installation of speed limiters in all commercial vehicles.

Other measures include licensing of all goods vehicles and this process will require goods vehicles to fulfill certain regulatory requirements including inspection for road worthiness.
