The Sheraton Gardens played host to a night of laughter and wit as Anne Kansiime celebrated a decade of comedy with the Comedy Grill.
The event featured a star-studded lineup of comedians and actors who roasted Kansiime in a playful and entertaining manner.
The evening kicked off with comedian Daniel Omara setting the tone with a short stand-up set.
The “Grill Chefs” then took turns roasting Kansiime, showcasing their unique styles and humor. The lineup included Salvador, Madrat and Chico, Nana Kagga, GNL Zamba, Gaetano Kaggwa, Dr. Miria Matembe, Prim Asiimwe, and Skylanta.
When Kansiime finally took the mic, she was clearly taking it all in good nature and between laughs remarked that, “You have let me make a fool of myself and now my heart is full.”
She then dished out a few shots and heartfelt words of gratitude to the guests, grillers, sponsors and all who have seen her through her 10-year journey that led to this remarkable night.
Hillary Baguma, Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries, praised the event, saying, “Seeing such incredible talent come together was truly special.” Anne Kansiime, meanwhile, joked about being roasted, saying, “You have let me make a fool of myself and now my heart is full.”
The event was a memorable celebration of Kansiime’s 10-year comedy career, featuring a blend of familiar faces and fresh talent.
The night ended on a high note, leaving the audience in stitches and eagerly anticipating future comedic offerings in Uganda.
