The National Public Relations Symposium 2025, organized by the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU), is set to take place tomorrow, Friday, July 25, at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala, starting at 8:00 AM.
Now in its fourth edition, the symposium brings together PR and communication professionals from across the country under the bold theme: “From Strategy to the C-Suite: Elevating PR to the Boardroom.” The event is expected to spark powerful conversations around how public relations can move beyond tactical execution and take its rightful seat in strategic decision-making.
The day’s proceedings will be led by Rukh-Shana Kitaka, a seasoned communication enthusiast and CEO of Audersity Studios, who will serve as MC.
The keynote address will be delivered by Odrek Rwabwogo, Founder of TOMOSI Group, while the Guest of Honour, Rt. Hon. Anita Among, Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda, will also deliver a keynote.
In addition, the symposium will feature a special address from Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, PRAU Patron, Minister of ICT and National Guidance, and Member of Parliament. His insights are expected to anchor the conversation on aligning PR with national development and policy priorities.
Organizers have issued a final call to the public, urging professionals who have not yet registered to contact the PRAU Secretariat before the event kicks off.
“If you’ve secured your slot, get ready for an unforgettable experience!” reads a statement from PRAU. “If you haven’t booked yet, THIS is your final call!”
A host of corporate sponsors and partners are backing the event, including SoftPowerNews, DFCU Bank, Uganda Development Corporation (UDC), Uganda Breweries Limited, Capital Markets Authority (CMA), Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC), Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Vision Group, Nation Media Group, NRG Radio, PML Daily, and several others.
The symposium will also be streamed and covered live across various media platforms under the official hashtag #NationalPRSymposium25.
