Get ready for the highly anticipated second edition of Roast and Rhyme ‘Nyam on The Nile,’ returning to Jinja from June 30 to July 2.

This three-day extravaganza, sponsored by Bell Lager, promises an exciting lineup of events and activities in the picturesque setting of the river Nile, offering a perfect blend of fun and urban entertainment in Eastern Uganda.

The festival kicks off on Friday night with a mesmerizing Bonfire experience at the Source of the Nile Gardens, Nile Park. Attendees will be treated to freestyle music, karaoke, poetry, and a tantalizing feast of wild-roasted meats. It’s an evening of artistic expression and culinary delights.

On Saturday, revellers will venture into Jinja to explore the city’s remarkable tourist attractions, including the awe-inspiring source of the Nile.

The day will be filled with adrenaline-pumping adventures such as tubing, quad biking, horse racing, bungee jumping, and an array of other thrilling activities.

As the sun sets, the festivities return to the Source of the Nile Gardens. The evening brings a delightful ambience by the banks of the Nile, with sizzling meat roasts, live music performed by Uganda’s top talents, and an after-party featuring the most sought-after DJs in the game. It’s a night of celebration and enchantment.

The festival concludes on Sunday with an elegant all-white brunch at 10 am, taking place at Forever Resort Njeru. Guests will indulge in a delectable array of cuisines while immersing themselves in soulful music performances. It’s a perfect way to unwind and savour the last moments of this remarkable experience.

Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance for Shs150k as part of the early-bird offer, covering all three days of the festival. At the gate, the cost will be Shs180k for the full three-day experience or Shs100k for a single-day pass. Tickets are conveniently available through the FlexiPay App and Mobile Money (*291#).

The performing artists’ roster includes; Sheebah Karungi, Mun G, Kohen Jaycee, Double Black Band and Double Revolution Band.
