Red Pepper Publication directors and editors are back in court this morning for bail hearing. They have been in Luzira Prison where they were remanded by Buganda Road Court last month.
Directors James Mujuni, Johnson Byarabaha, Arinaitwe Rugyendo, Patrick Mugumya, and Richard Tusiime, and editors Ben Byarabaha, Francis Tumusiime and Richard Kintu are charged among others with offensive communication against President Yoweri Museveni, Security Minister Henry Tumukunde and Gen Salim Saleh (Rtd) and publication of a story prejudicial to national security.
Red Pepper published a story on November 20, 2017 alleging that President Museveni planned to topple Rwandan President Paul Kagame.
