They were received at Entebbe International Airport, by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hillary Okello Oryem.

President Ruto was later received at Statehouse Entebbe by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Through his official Twitter handle, Ruto said, he had a great meeting with President Museveni, adding “The Kenya – Uganda bond is growing stronger.”

Recently, there seemed to be a diplomatic shake-up between the two brotherly countries stemming from tweets by General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the former Commander of UPDF Land Forces.

In his tweets, General Muhoozi claimed that he and ‘his army’ could capture Nairobi the Capital City of Kenya, in two weeks.

President Museveni would later apologize for the reckless tweets made by General Muhoozi.

Ruto’s visit and meeting with President Museveni, further cements the great and brotherly relationship between the two countries.

This was also manifested at Ruto’s swearing in ceremony where he called President Museveni the father of the Region.

Ruto and Museveni had met seven times before the 2022 Kenyan General Elections.
