President Yoweri Museveni has made fresh appointments for Ugandan ambassadors and heads of missions in the different 'brotherly and friendly countries'.

President Yoweri Museveni has made fresh appointments for Ugandan ambassadors and heads of missions in the different ‘brotherly and friendly countries’.

“By virtue of the powers vested in the President of the Republic of Uganda, by Article 122(1), I hereby appoint the following as Ambassadors, High Commissioners and Deputy Ambassadors to the respective brotherly and friendly countries as listed,” Museveni noted.

In the appointments, Museveni replaced Uganda’s ambassador based in Washington DC, Mull Sebujja Katende, with Robbie Kakonge.

Richard Kabonero in Dar-es-Salaam was replaced with former member of Parliament for Nyabushozi County Col Fred Mwesigye.

Also replaced is Dr. Crispus Walter Kiyonga in China. He was replaced with Judith Nsababera.

Maj Gen. (Rtd) Robert Rusoke, the new ambassador to Kigali.

The president also appointed Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Robert Rusoke, as the new ambassador to Kigali.

Museveni among others, retained, Maj Gen Matayo Kyaligonza as the ambassador of Uganda to Burundi, and Amb. Adonia Ayebare, New York as a Special Envoy.
