Maj Gen (Rtd) Kasirye Gwanga has come out to admit that he indeed shot at a tyre of a car belonging to musician Catherine Kusasira, claiming the singer’s ‘husband’ attacked the ex-soldier’s son.

Reports said troubles emanated from the loud music played in Kusasira’s car which had displeased the ex-soldier’s kids.

According to Police, Kasirye Gwanga’s children while buying snacks in Makindye told Kusasira’s aides who had just arrived, to reduce on the volume of the music in their (Kusasira’s aides) car.

When they refused to abide by the request the disturbed kids invited their father and on arrival, Kasirye Gwanga shot one of the tyres before driving off.

On Wednesday evening, while speaking to NBS TV, Gwanga confirmed having shot at the car and did not regret his actions whatsover.

He said Kusasira, whom he described as ‘’stupid looking’’ undermined and insulted him by shouting at him when he tried to ask about the matter.

“They attacked my American son who had checked out to buy some stuff. Kusasira and a man, presumably her husband were very drunk and the man attempted to beat up my son, yet my son’s size is above that of Uganda. He is an American – he had to ring me,’’ Gwanga explained.

‘’I was home but I had to drive and found them in Makindye around Posh, I came in because I wanted to find out what exactly had happened,” he said.

“When I asked, that mad woman came out and started shouting at me. I looked at that stupid looking woman, and they told me she was Kusasira. Who cares about Kusasira? Kasirye Gwanga? Not me,’’ the controversial ex-soldier added.

His efforts to calm the musician down, he says, yielded no good as she continued asking what they (Gwangas) think they are.

“From there, I shot at her car tyre and drove away, so now it is news around. What is the hullabaloo? ’’ asked a relaxed Gwanga.

The 67-year-old former district Chairman for Mubende who spoke with ease while occasionally laughing, went ahead to utter comments body shaming the musician. He compared the her skin to that of a toad.

‘’Tell her that she looks like a toad, but are those the looks of your musicians you always praise? Let her go to the gym to streamline, her figure is really bad,’’ he added.

The retired soldier further accused Kusasira of calling herself his wife two years back. He said the case is at the Police post along Ben Kiwanuka street. He branded her a “nuisance” before advising her ‘’never to joke with people like Kasirye Gwanga.’’

Gwangwa is not new to controversy, in 2017, he burnt down a tractor on land he said belonged to him but wasn’t charged of any offence then.

Also, in 2013, Gwanga refused to leave a residential house in Makindye where Police and the Military wanted him evicted on claims that he was illegally occupying it. It this house that still pits this controversial retired military officer.
