Brian Tabaruka, the Country Manager of Regus a global company that offers work space solution, Brian Tabaruka has appealed to Ugadans to embrace the new flexible work places as the way to go to boost the country’s economy.

This was during the release of findings from an economic survey that revealed that a predicted boom in flexible working could contribute US$ 10.04 trillion to the global economy by 2030.

The analysis commissioned by Regus and conducted by independent economists, studied 16 key countries to research into the state of flexible working between now and 2030.

According to research, Regus found out that between 8% and 13% of all employment will be associated with flexible workspaces in most developed economies by 2030.

It further reveals that greater levels of flexible working will save businesses money, reduce operating costs and boost productivity – ultimately causing a ripple effect across the economy from core businesses through to supply chains.

Speaking during the media launch in Kampala, Tabaruka said that the specific benefits include higher business and personal productivity, lower overheads for office space for companies using flexible workspace and millions of hours saved commuting.

Tabaruka said that the new digit revolution in business will provide flexible solutions right from start-up business to multi-national cooperates with work space that is affordable.

He said that the new development enables young entrepreneurs and SMEs to come in and find an office package that meets their very convenient budget.

“We are a company that cooperates across 3,000 locations globally and in Kampala we have 3 locations offering our clients office solutions that are ready for immediate occupation. We offer you an office that provides everything ranging from internet, telephone, reception services, cleaning, utilities, fully furnished partitioned offices among others,” Tabaruka said.

Tabaruka said that, “We have one of the largest entrepreneur numbers and these are the people we would like to partner with to enable them grow and see them become large cooperates in Uganda in the next few years.”

He noted that unlike the conventional office spaces in Kampala that only provide a physical space, Regus Flexible work place offers all office equipment and requirement at a reasonable cost.

“It offers convenience, flexibility to come in at an affordable costs, most conventional offices in Kampala will require clients to take up 200 sq meters plus which is not feasible for a young entrepreneur. We offer space for just an individual offering it at a fraction of an office space.”
