Speaking to Jackie Wolfson, Founder of the Shule Foundation an international charity non-profit with educational projects in Uganda, the funds raised from the concert will be reinvested into the education of some of our country’s most vulnerable children.

“There is a real challenge of children aging out of the classroom and through our work we want to construct a school that offers both formal and informal education to children whose age is not aligned with their level of education,” said Jackie.

According to Jackie they anticipate to build a multinational school on their twenty acres of land in Kigumba where over twelve hundred children will be accommodated.

She further revealed the proposed school will offer access to formal and vocational skills training to all the beneficiaries.

Morning classes will take place in a normal learning environment, while in the afternoon trainees will be ushered into vocational and technical programs based on their interests.

This is not just an average music show but an event geared towards changing lives of the most abhorred and helpless children in Uganda.

On the Ugandan entertainment scene, Hon Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is set to make a guest appearance while Patrick Idringi popularly known as Salvador will host the event.

Jackie whats to appeal to all Ugandans to come together and focus on raising all our children together as a nation if we are to realise development of the country.

“If we don’t come with better solutions such as education and economic empowerment for our children the economy of this country stands to be negatively affected”.

As the Ugandan saying goes, The young trees make the forest thicker. If we continue to turn our backs on the disregarded children within the country, we run the risk a creating a growing population of delinquents.
