Kampala’s favourite flavour-meets-fun experience is back, and this edition comes with an exciting new twist. The event “Beats, Barbeque and Belly Laughs,” now curated by The Singleton, promises an unforgettable evening where smooth whisky combines with great music, delicious food, and effortless fun.
Scheduled for Sunday, December 7, at Plot 15 Acacia Avenue, Windsor Crescent in Kololo, the event will feature an enticing mix of fantastic music, mouth-watering meats, and an unparalleled atmosphere, all reflecting the refined, flavour-first character of The Singleton.
Ugandans enjoy gathering to share conversations, whether small or loud, and “Beats, Barbeque and Belly Laughs” is about coming together over meat, creating an ambience reminiscent of a friendly backyard gathering. The event will be hosted by Tony Otoa, the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at the Uganda National Oil Company. Otoa, a business strategist and corporate executive with a passion for grilling, is excited to lead guests on a flavorful journey where he encourages everyone to indulge in the food.
The Singleton will present a special tasting corner, allowing guests to experience its signature smoothness and cocktails that pair perfectly with the grilled delicacies of the night. From flame-kissed cuts to gourmet barbecue creations, every bite will find its perfect partner in The Singleton’s rich, layered profile.
Simon Lapyem, the Brand Manager for The Singleton, stated that this event is yet another celebration of the art of taste. “The Singleton has always celebrated the art of flavour, and this edition of ‘Beats, Barbeque and Belly Laughs’ allows us to showcase that vibrantly and unforgettably. From curated services to perfect steak pairings, we’re inviting guests to enjoy the night with a touch of refined indulgence.”
On the decks, a lineup of Kampala’s favourite DJs from the renowned Sese Nation, fresh off their success at the Joshua Baraka concert, will provide the soundtrack for the night, transitioning from easy, laid-back rhythms to energetic dance-floor beats.
